Amelia is located in the Province of Terni in the Region of Umbria.
Brief History:
The town is said to have been founded over eleven hundred years before Christ, so ‘Ameria’ existed long before the Romans and the Church came along. Much of the town was destroyed in the 1832 earthquake. Amelias’s patron saint is S. Fermina
